Bell Rock Vortex

National Forest
Peggy Mekemson

ADA Accessibility Notes

Not wheelchair accessible. Not recommend for individuals with balance issues.

Bell Rock is one of Sedona's most known Vortex Meditation sites. It is an Upflow area (also referred to as Electric or Masculine) that is best for serenity and solving problems from a higher (spiritual) perspective. For decades seekers from around the world have used Bell Rock for comtemplative reflection and inspiration.

Pet Friendly Notes

Pets need to be trained to be quiet (not bark) and be on a leash.

Recreational Opportunities

It is NOT necessary to go to the top of Bell Rock. Bell Rock has levels. Most people experience wonderfully uplifting and soaring experiences at just the first or second level. If you question should I go any higher, don't. You have probably reached the level that is safest for you. Coming down try stepping side to side in difficult areas. If you are very uncomfortable, sit down and scoot over the steeper declines. For lead spiritual activities and/or guided yoga, a Guide that has a Permit with the Red Rock Ranger District is required, as Bell Rock is on the Coconino National Forest.

Seasons Accessible

Accessible year round, BUT in the hotter months recommend accessing from the northern parking lot (Courthouse Vista) for shorter access (Bell Rock Vista - southern parking area has a 1+ mile hike before getting on the rock).
