Goat Milk Etc.

Local Artist, Musician, or Craftsperson

Goat Milk Etc. raises goats humanely right here in the Verde Valley to create the best goat's milk personal care products! The herd of 18 goats lives on a bucolic, 5 acre farm in Cornville, Arizona, where the goats can run, play, and frolic. Whether they are playing one more round of “King (er, Queen) of the Hill” by climbing the inclined plane or just raising their kids, these are some happy, happy goats!

Nancy Scheffert

This is sustainable agriculture at its best: playful goats producing the highest quality, freshest milk from which the best personal care products such as body washes, shampoos, lip balms, soap scrubs, creams, lotions, and decorator soaps are derived.

So how did this woman-owned, small business start in the Verde Valley? Well, that's an interesting story...What started as an all-natural weed eradication program has become the best loved, all natural goat milk products in Arizona....and Spain!

When our CGO (Chief Goat Officer) moved to the Verde Valley from California (where the weeds are downright dinky), she discovered that pulling out Arizona weeds was far more difficult and often necessitated a trip to the chiropractor to put her back back in. A neighbor recommended that a goat could whack the weeds and so a goat our CGO did buy.

Turned out that this was a nanny goat so our CGO asked if the goat had any more undiscovered talents.

The neighbor suggested turning the goat's milk into soap. After copious research on the Internet—which, in Cornville, might run faster if they used carrier pigeons to carry the e-mails—and multiple batches of soap, our CGO discovered a goat milk soap recipe which had consistent quality and was exceptionally luxurious. While some goat milk companies take a short cut and use dried, powered goat's milk, our CGO is a stickler for high quality—which is why she milks her herd of goats twice each day and uses only 100% FRESH goat's milk in her products. Goat Milk Etc. personal care products are made from 100% pure, fresh, whole goat milk—every product, every day, always. No compromises. Ever.

Our unscented products allow you to enjoy the natural, pure scent of the goat's milk.

In addition, the soaps and lotions can:

  • Take the pain out of sunburn
  • Soothe skin itchy or from allergies, psoriasis, and eczema
  • Goat milk with its high butterfat content creates very moisturizing soaps and lotions--so rich that you only need one application of lotion per day—even if you have very dry skin in this very dry, Arizona climate.

Goat's milk personal care products have amazing health and wellness benefits!

From the gently rolling hills of far away Provence, our CGO obtains lovely lavender, which can accelerate any healing which is needed.

From the land Down Under, our CGO obtains the finest eucalyptus essential oil to blend into her personal care products. When you have a respiratory problem such as a cough, cold, congestion, sore throat, runny nose, asthma, sinusitis, or bronchitis, this is definitely the product line you want—eucalyptus is a wonderful decongestant! In addition, it is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.
Along the shores of Bulgaria, the damask roses grow. Caressed by the breezes from the Black Sea, these roses are renowned for their intensely beautiful, romantically intoxicating scent. As an essential oil, rose brings balance and harmony while uplifting your spirit to create a feeling of self-confidence and well-being. For thousands of years, people have used rose oil to alleviate the woes of dry or aging skin.

From the exotic locales of India comes vanilla essential oil. Vanilla is so persnickety that it needs to be hand-pollinated each season. As one of the world's most popular scents, vanilla is known as a sensual aphrodisiac as well as its G-rated properties of being comforting and relaxing. The ancients used vanilla as an antioxidant, anti carcinogenic, and antidepressant. See! You feel better already!
