Historic US Route 89A Arizona's "Other Historic Road" (Clarkdale, Arizona)

One of only three roads recognized by the State of Arizona as an official Historic Road. Centered in Clarkdale, AZ and travelling only 10 miles in total length, ending in the towns of Cottonwood and Jerome, AZ. Each town has a historic district with shopping, museums, restaurants, wine tasting and fun! The road can be traced back in history to its beginnings as a trail used by the local indigenous people. A historical roadside marker is located in Clarkdale with much information about the road and area. Historic road passes by National Monuments, State Parks, Municipal Parks, Historic Old Towns, Verde River, Birding Areas, and much more.
