Raku Gallery Jerome

Art Gallery or Studio
Welcome to Raku Gallery – Raku Gallery

Tracy Weisel, a potter, moved to Jerome in 1975. In 1981 he purchased the New York Café ruin and began the long process of building the Raku Gallery. The gallery opened in 1988 and is now known as one of the premier destinations in Jerome.

Raku Gallery was named such for the Zen translation of " raku " meaning ease, enjoyment, contentment, pleasure and happiness. The gallery now represents over 200 artists predominantly from the Southwest. Within the spacious 2200 square feet you will find an eclectic collection of fine art and crafts including paintings, ceramics, freeblown glass, jewelry, sculpture and furniture. Your senses are in for a treat .

In September 2011, Tracy and his wife Nancy decided to semi - retire.

New owners, Kurt and Lynette Ammann, have lived in the area since 2003 and bring fresh, new energy to the gallery. Originally from South Africa, they have and are still involved in a winery, award winning vinegars and a country inn.
