Red Wine Line - leave the driving to CAT
ADA Accessibility Notes
The buses are all ADA accessible.
The Cottonwood Area Transit System (CAT) is the public transit system operating in the Verde Valley, especially through Clarkdale and Cottonwood, homes to a variety of wine tasting rooms. Nicknamed the "Red Wine Line" by locals, riding the CAT Red Line allows a person the ability to leave the driving to the professionals and to sample the wines and craft brews of the Verde Valley without getting behind the wheel.
The Red Wine Line stops in close proximity to all the tasting rooms in Clarkdale and Old Town Cottonwood. Using CAT, you can also transfer from the Red Line at the Cottonwood Library to the three other CAT bus routes that travel through the Cottonwood Area (the blue, green and yellow lines), to the Verde Lynx that goes to Sedona and to the Yavapai-Apache Transit system that goes to Camp Verde.
To learn more about all the routes, visit: http://cottonwoodaz.gov/media/pdf/CAT-Guide.pdf
An all-day pass on the CAT bus, which gives you unlimited rides for one day, is $3 per person. A one-way ride is $1.25 and includes one transfer ticket.
What's the schedule? There an app for that - just so you can figure out when the next bus is coming. You can download and use the app RouteShout on your smart phone. It's available for both Apple and Android phones.
