Sutler's Steakhouse is located in what used to be the Sutler's Store that was built in 1871. This building served as the only civilian structure on the 10,000 acre Fort Verde Military Reservation. Not only did it provide much needed items for the Soldiers but also the farmers and ranchers that lived in the area. Later when it became the Wingfield Store it was also the post office, bank, grocery store, soda fountain and ice plant. Most of the walls of the Sutler's Store from 1871 are still standing today. Now it is a great place to have a wonderful steak, shrimp or a number of delicious meals. It has a quaint bar with a variety of drinks including a fabulous Morgana Margarita. They have an array of local entertainment, and the Verde Valley has some of the best entertainers in the world.
